In the main area of the page, click on 'Add Steps'.
Builders have the option to:
Additional Steps can be added via the main page or the side panel.
Builders are able to add as many relevant steps to the procedure as needed.
Steps can be connected to one another, with the concept of Batch Procedures.
Similarly, procedures can be Published to save a version of your procedure as a template.
When making edits in a process, it is in draft status.
There is no need to click 'Publish' every time you want to save your template -> any change made is auto-saved in Seal. We only recommend Publishing a process when it is ready for execution.
It's important to remember that operators can only run Steps and Procedure that are Published.
Once Published, your procedure is now ready to be executed (refer to Runs for more information).
Once you have no further changes you'd like to make and are satisfied with your procedure, clicking on the button in the top right corner changes the record to a Published state. This creates a version of your procedure as a template.
If amendments are required, a new draft can be created by clicking on the on the top right corner.
Create a new Step
Steps can be created from scratch.
Add an already published Step
Note that only Published steps will appear as options in the drop-down menu.
Specific version of the Selected step can be toggled, as shown below.
Steps can be re-ordered in the 'Steps' tab on the right hand side.
Note that connected steps cannot be moved above it's respective connected step until the step-connection has been removed.
Procedures are a series of steps that is executed continuously one after another.
Steps can be thought of as smaller sections that make up a bigger process.
These series of steps can be grouped together to make a procedure.
Subsequent steps further down the procedure cannot be executed until the current step has been marked as done. This ensures that each section has to be fully completed before the next subsequent step can be started.
