Creating Custom Types

You are able to create Custom Types that specifically fit your data structure.

On the Types tab, click on + New.

A modal will pop up. Specify variables for your custom Type:

• Content Type: The type of data to represent, for e.g.

  • File → Images, PDFs

  • None

  • Page Content → e.g. Documents

• Instance Life Cycle

  • Continuous → Designed to be improved overtime

  • Completable → A unitof work carried out repeatedly

• Create Instances

  • Type

  • Template → pre-configured variations of a Type for standardisation

  • Type of Template

• Compulsory fields

  • Fields which will exist for this particular custom Type, for e.g. Date Created, Created By, Effective Date.

Once created, the custom Type will appear under the 'Custom Types' section.

Users can filter and search by custom Types in the search page, or create from these Custom Types from the left hand side bar.
