Test Runs

In Seal, you are able to test run draft procedures before publishing them. Test runs enable you to test outputs of script steps and connected steps, amongst other functionality.

Test runs enable you to run the procedure, without creating any real records.

Click on 'Test Run' at the top right hand corner.

Once run, the run will have an 'Test run' tag. Records created will have a Test Record tag.

You should be able to run the procedure as per normal.

Real entities can't reference test entities, but test entities are able to -> this design enables you to test if a procedure has the correct functionality.

Additionally, any records created from this test run will not appear in the search page by default. If you would like to search for test records, type in test:<name of run tested>.
